Falkirk Wheel
The
Falkirk
Wheel, we installed a fully functional WebCam with pan, tilt and zoom module on a preset patrol
cycle. We also had a
static camera mounted on the same column.
This system is now offline.
A
TeleGuard video webserver was used to encode
the image stream, then a leased line was used to transmit the image stream to
London where a
WebCast server
was used to broadcast to the Internet.
This WebCam system
was online from February 2001 until May 2003

Complete
Solution |
 |
| |
Our commission from British
Waterways and Eildon Films was to provide a high
picture quality, high performance Internet video
broadcast solution, with full pan, tilt, zoom and
focus facilities to provide live video streams of
the Wheel site for the general public to view from
the existing Scottish
Canals website.
Since installation the system has
also been integrated with the Millennium
Link website and soon will be added to the just
launched Falkirk
Wheel website.
