PageAlarm
MF
PageAlarm MF is a Vehicle Alarm System with a difference. When triggered, it personally Pages you up to 700 metres away. If you wish to let everybody know, it can also blast the air with a siren. The choice is yours. When your car telephone rings, PageAlarm MF also alerts your pager with a different signal.
Approved to the latest DTI specifications and manufactured to ISO9000 quality standard, this license-exempt system offers cost-effective reliability and maximum security with POCSAG coding.
PageAlarm MF connects to the car courtesy light or all kinds of security devices such as: ultrasonic sensors, electronic shock sensors, battery back-up sirens etc. A remote control interface is also available to convert passive arming to radio remote control.
When the Alarm is triggered, the Control Unit/Transmitter alerts your Pager with a distinctive audible and visual signal which escalates in volume until cancelled by pressing the acknowledge button on the Pager. If not, the Pager will persist in periodically reminding you until you do press the Pager button. The Pager will then replay the 'alert' you missed from its memory. In fact, it can memorise the last four alerts that were not acknowledged by you.
A ringing Cellular Phone or Mobile Radio can alert your Pager with a different signal. Similarly, when the control unit is armed or disarmed, the Pager confirms this with two other different signals.
PageAlarm MF comes with one lightweight, compact 'Microbleep' Pager. Comfortable to wear in the top pocket or on the belt or alternatively carried in your pocket or small handbag, 'Microbleep' will alert you audibly and visually in its normal mode. When you are in a meeting, you can switch it to the 'Mute' mode and it will alert you visually and silently.
The 'Microbleep' uses a single AAA alkaline battery which, thanks to its advanced circuitry, gives excellent battery life and reduced ongoing cost.

Main Control Unit/Transmitter
Installed inside the vehicle for maximum security, the unit transmits coded alarm paging signal when the Alarm is triggered or when the Telephone/mobile radio is being called. The coded signals, of 2 million combinations, will normally be received by the pager up to 700 metres away.
Operation of the Alarm When Fitted to a Car
PageAlarm MF is armed when the ignition is turned OFF and the last door is closed (after 30
seconds delay). Arming is confirmed by an audible and visual signal on the
pager.
Disarming the alarm is carried out by opening the driver’s door and turning the ignition to ON within a fixed entry delay period. This is confirmed by a distinctive ‘disarm’ bleep on the pager.
Attempted entry will signal the pager with a distinctive sound which increases in volume until cancelled by the user.
Calls to mobile radio or cellular phone can also generate another distinctive tone on the pager.
Visual signaling on the pager will also take place in all cases.
Optional Accessories
Accessories include: Remote Control Interface to convert passive arming to radio remote control
Ultrasonic Intruder Detector for additional interior protection against forced entry via windows, sunroof etc
Battery Back-up Siren to be connected to PageAlarm MF switched Siren output
Electronic Shock Sensor to trigger the alarm if impact or forced entry to the vehicle is made.

Control Unit/Transmitter Options |
| 1. The Alarm input can be configured to trigger when ‘high’ or ‘low’. This option is available inside the control unit on link LK1 as follows: |
- LK1 on 1-2 pcb markings: will trigger when input is joined to Earth; standard setting
|
- LK1 on 2-3 pcb markings: will trigger when input is joined to +12V
supply
|
| 2. Entry/Trigger delay timing can be used or deleted by configuring link LK2 inside the Control unit as follows: |
- LK2 on 1-2 pcb markings: 8 second Entry or alarm trigger delay; standard setting
|
- LK2 on 2-3 pcb markings: this will delete the Entry or alarm trigger delay for remote control
arming
|
| 3. Exit/Arm delay timing can be used or deleted by configuring link LK3 inside the Control unit as follows: |
- LK3 on 1-2 pcb markings: 30 second Exit/Arm delay; standard setting
|
- LK3 on 2-3 pcb markings: this will delete the Exit/Arm delay for remote control arming
|
| 4. The Radio/Phone Input will trigger Outputs in accordance with link LK4 inside the Control unit as follows: |
- LK4 on 1-2 pcb markings: will trigger Auto Aerial output pin only; standard setting
|
- LK4 on 2-3 pcb markings: will trigger Auto Aerial and Siren output
